5 Beauty Summer Must Haves

With summer right around the corner, I thought I’d share some of my beauty favorites for healthy, dewy looking skin.
Summer is the time of year when you want the least amount of product on your face. Whether it’s a beach day or running errands around town, quick and easy makeup is the way to go. During summer time, you want to avoid mattifying products as well as heavy cakey foundation. Your pores open up when it’s hot out, therefore the less product on your face the better. It’s also important to know what kind of skin type you may have, click here to find out! I personally have tried and loved all of these products as a dry/combo skin girl.
Starting off strong is the Ilia Skin Tint! This product leaves your face looking dewy and healthy with light coverage. I love how it has SPF in it, making it the perfect summer foundation. I bought this product last year and will definitely be purchasing it again for Summer 2024. Some reviews mention the product having a smell to it but personally I don’t notice one.

2. Concealer: Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer
Finding a good concealer is tough. Ideally, a good concealer will have medium to full coverage and be moisturizing. Many concealers claim to be creaseless and will still crease on your under eyes. I find that this Tarte concealer has minimal creasing and is hyrdating enough so my under eyes don’t look cakey.
3. Blush: Rose Inc Cream Blush Refillable Cheek & Lip Color
This two-in-one product is an all time favorite of mine. Using a cream blush will give you a dewier look and applying it on your lips ties your whole look together! I like how this product is refillable making it planet positive. After applying this on my lips, I’ll go over it with a clear gloss or chapstick.

As soon as I swatched this blush, I fell in love. It feels like a second skin, and the colors are so lovely. Not glittery on me, but appears a little dewy. It can go on sheer, but is buildable. Very natural-looking. Noticed slight fading after 5-6 hours. Looking forward to purchasing more colors.”
4. Powder: Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder
An all time classic. This formula is good for oily, combo, and normal skin types. When I use this product, I’ll use a setting brush and lightly set my under eyes and anywhere else I applied concealer. Since I have dry/combo skin, I’ll apply it to wherever my skin gets oily throughout the day. This product has won many awards, so I always feel comfortable recommending it to others.
5. Mascara: Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara
My last step in my makeup routine is always applying on a coat of mascara so it only made sense to make it #5. I’ve noticed that waterproof mascara holds my eyelash curl a lot better than regular mascaras. I learned this trick from a friend and now I always recommend it to others.

Overall, these five products are some of my absolute favorites and I can’t wait to use them this summer. While these products have worked for me and many others, I encourage everyone to find what works best for them. Different skin types can really affect the way makeup sits on the skin and it’s why I urge others to first find out what their skin type is.
